SASHA to Present Groundbreaking Digital Security Technology at EU Presidency Meeting

The Danish tech company SASHA will take a central role at the informal EU Presidency meeting for telecommunications ministers at the Horsens Forum this Friday, October 10th, in Denmark. The company will present its new, groundbreaking technology, designed to strengthen the protection of children, citizens, and democracy throughout Europe, following an invitation from the Danish Minister for Digitalization, Caroline Stage, for founder Thomas Eriksson to participate.

SASHA, short for safe share, has developed a unique European technology that gives users control over their own images and prevents misuse.

"In a digital age where misinformation and abuse are widespread, we need strong technological solutions capable of meeting the developments on the internet," says SASHA founder Thomas Eriksson, who, along with his team, has been working for five years to make the technology robust. "Our technology is designed to give all citizens their right to privacy back, while supporting digital security across platforms. Now we can deliver an effective tool that matches the EU’s ambitions."

By participating in the meeting at the Horsens Forum, the company underscores its ambition to actively contribute to Europe's digital future. By showcasing the technology to EU Commissioner Henna Virkkunen, EU telecommunications ministers, and representatives from EFTA countries, the goal of ensuring a broad, horizontal implementation that can set new standards for image protection and consent for everyone is closer to being realized.

The SASHA technology, which will be free for minors, gives users fundamental control over their images, so they cannot be misused for blackmail, generating fake news, or other illegal purposes. Sasha is launching an app, and the technology is also a potential standard for anyone who wants to protect content.
