Following a new funding round: SASHA recruits Christian Mogensen from Snap and strengthens its leadership team

Award-winning Danish tech startup Sasha has hired Christian Mogensen, former Nordic Head of Public Policy at Snap Inc., as Head of Global Affairs & Safety. The appointment follows a newly closed funding round and a strengthening of the company's leadership, and marks the next phase of SASHA’s international growth.

SASHA has developed a world-first patented Digital DNA technology that makes it possible to prove original ownership of an image and trace unauthorized sharing, even when the image has been manipulated or screenshotted. The company has been named one of Europe's most innovative startups by The Europas Top 100 and, in February, was recognized as one of 40 global winners at the World Summit Awards.

Christian Mogensen joins from Snap Inc., where, as Nordic Head of Public Policy, he worked at the intersection of platforms, legislation and digital safety. He previously served as a diplomat for the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Danish Tech Embassy in Silicon Valley, and comes from the Center for Digital Youth Care, where for several years he was one of Denmark's most prominent voices on young people's digital lives, image sharing and online abuse.

“For years I have seen the consequences of images being shared without control or consent. I have worked with the biggest platforms in the world, and with the victims who pay the price. Images can be taken out of context and misused, especially when gender and sexuality are weaponized or politicized. SASHA is the first company I have come across that can build an invisible line of defense into the images themselves. This isn't treating the symptoms, it's a solution. That is why I am here,” says Christian Mogensen, Head of Global Affairs & Safety, SASHA.

As Head of Global Affairs & Safety, Christian Mogensen will lead SASHA’s work with platforms, regulators and civil society as the AI Act, the DSA, the TAKE IT DOWN Act and content-labeling requirements come into force. The appointment strengthens SASHA at a moment when regulation is moving in the company's direction: from August 2026, the EU's AI Act requires AI-generated content to be labeled, and demand for verifiable image provenance is growing among platforms, media and rights holders.

“Christian has seen the image-abuse problem from every angle, from the engine rooms of the platforms to the negotiating tables of lawmakers, from the investigators inside public authorities through to the people it hurts. That combination barely exists. He knows what it takes for technology like ours to be adopted at scale, and that is exactly the job he is here to do for us,” says Thomas Eriksson, Founder & CEO, SASHA.

Backed by fresh capital

The appointment follows a funding round SASHA has just closed. The capital will accelerate the company's international commercialization, along with the continued development and rollout of its patented technology and its integration with image agencies, media outlets and AI companies.

A strengthened leadership team

At the same time, SASHA is strengthening its leadership. Tom Tramborg, who joined the company this spring as Global Director for Media and Publishing, is being promoted to Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), with responsibility for SASHA’s entire commercial organization across verticals and markets.

“In record time, Tom has built a commercial organization and an international pipeline that companies many times our size would envy. He has won customers, established partnerships across the global image industry and made SASHA a name the industry knows. The promotion to CCO is a natural consequence of that work, and it means our entire commercial engine now sits under a single leader,” says Thomas Eriksson, Founder & CEO, SASHA.

SASHA is hiring across the board

With the new capital and a strengthened leadership team, SASHA is now going to market for more talent. The company is hiring broadly across several industries and countries, with roles coming up in both Europe and the US. Open positions are published on a rolling basis at sasha.eu/careers and on SASHA’s LinkedIn page.
