If someone is using an image that belongs to you without permission, you can report it to WhatsApp for removal. Follow these steps to submit a report.

STEP 01

Select the type of rights infringement you are reporting

STEP 02

Describe your relationship to the rights owner

  • I am the rights owner (select this).
  • I am reporting on behalf of my organization or client.
  • I am reporting on behalf of someone else.
STEP 03

Provide your contact information

  • Full Name
  • Postal address (enter your home address)
  • Email address
STEP 04

Provide rights owner information

  • What is the name of the rights owner? (enter your name if you own the rights)
  • Where is the rights owner asserting rights? (select the country where you live, from the list provided).
  • Which of these best describes the copyrighted work?
    • Photo (select this)
    • Video
    • Sms
    • Other
STEP 05

Provide links (URLs) to the copyrighted work

If possible, add a URL to where you originally shared the image. If you don’t have a URL, you can describe it instead.

  • We have created a statement you can include: I originally shared this image using watermarking technology. I can send the original image to WhatsApp if needed, but I can’t provide URLs. Please provide me with an email where I can send the material to WhatsApp.

Identify the type of content you are reporting

Select the type of WhatsApp content where the image was shared:

Follow up on your report
