If you find an image on TikTok that violates your rights, follow this step-by-step guide to report it.

STEP 01

Locate the Image

Go to TikTok and find the video you want to report.
STEP 02

Tap the ‘share’ button

Below the video, tap the arrow (share icon).

STEP 03

Select ‘report’

Scroll down and tap ‘report’ from the menu, then ‘report illegal content’ and then ‘defamation’.

STEP 04

Choose

  • Intellectual property
  • Defamation (select this)
  • Request erase personal data under GDPR
  • Content is unlawful for another reason (e.g. hate speech, harassment)

  • Relevant law
    Please provide details of the law the content allegedly violates. Please be as specific as possible to allow us to properly assess your report. Try searching on the internet for the character of the violation (nudity, defamation etc.).
  • Report explanation
    Please describe how the content violates the relevant law. Reports lacking sufficient information may not be considered valid. If relevant, specify if you are submitting this request for yourself or on behalf of someone else. You can use this statement: “This image was shared without my consent and is being used to damage my reputation.”
